Led by Murilo Becker, Brazil dominated Argentina 87-77 to win Gold in the South American Championship played in Neiva, Colombia. Becker made 30 points with 10 rebounds and was selected as the MVP of the tournament.

URU/VEN - Uruguay wins Bronze and qualifies to the 2011 Pan-American Games: -
Uruguay defeated Venezuela 76-70 to win the Bronze medal and qualify for the 2011 Pan-American Games. The Uruguayans already qualified for the 2011 FIBA-Americas Championship along with Venezuela.

Argentina defeated Uruguay 79-73 to play for the Gold medal at the South American Championship played in Neiva, Colombia. Argentina will play for the Gold at 21:00 with the winner of Brazil and Venezuela. Uruguay will play for the Bronze medal between the loser of that game at 19:00.
