NEIVA (2010 South American Championship) - Argentina dominated Ecuador 107-43 to get their first win in the South American Championship. The Argentinean team will wait for the result between Venezuela and Colombia in order to know their opportunities to each the semifinals.

The Argentineans dominated the whole way winning the first quarter 19-12 and at halftime the lead was 48-20.

A total of six players of Argentina scored in double figures as Carlos Schattmann had 19 points while Alejandro Aloatti and Federico Aguerre had 18 each.

Argentina will now wait the result between Colombia and Venezuela in order to know their chances of reaching the semifinals. The Argentineans already qualified for the 2011 FIBA-Americas Championship by being the host, but they want to reach the semifinals so they could play for one of the top three spots and qualify for the 2011 Pan-American Games.
